Verana's reputation and quality is based on our high standards and focus on first class service, eclectic styling and decor. Our staff deals with our upscale clients on a very personal level and needs to be committed to going the extra mile to deliver outstanding and excellent service on a daily basis. Without keeping this as a priority, we will not be able to compete and maintain our place as one of the best small boutique hotels.

Position requires applicants to have at least three years of food serving experience. Basic wine knowledge a plus. Bilingual preferred (English and Spanish). Applicants have to be available Oct 23, 2006 for a minimum of one season, until June 2007.

Each applicant has to be aware of our remote and somewhat isolated location from the civilized world. They need to be willing to live in the jungle (housing provided) and work mostly outdoors. Prior experience with that kind of environment will definitely help. Applicants must also be in good physical shape to walk to our hilltop location (15 minute hike).....

Come on ladies don't be shy.

Why is Dave so greedy he has to accept this kind of ad and send some poor souls to what sounds like a good plot for a Hollywood horror movie. It's not even remotely connected with teaching. I expect we'll have Dave's Lap Dancing Cafe on the web soon. Why should Dave care as long as the advertising money keeps on coming. After all it's not his problem is it?

Does Dave Post Anonymously on his Cafe?

I don't know about any of you other experienced eslcafe watchers but I've long had a suspicion that Dave posts under other names. The temptation would surely be irresistible. It would of course be very simple to create any old name if you are in the driving seat. Anyone out there care to name anyone who could be Saint Dave himself posting secretly under another name.
I've one name which I'll reveal if nobody else has spotted it but there may well be others I haven't spotted.
This is the place to expose him.
He'll then have to find another rock to hide under or maybe he'll have to delete himself. Could be painful!

Latest Earnings of ESL CAFE!

The eslcafe is a goldmine. Just look at the number of job listings on the current job board page. There are approx. 300. That equates to an amount well in excess of $10,000 just for the month of August especially if you add in the banner advertising etc. Scroll down the list and anyone with half a brain can see that some of the outfits look very dodgy. "Asian Consultants" for example are advertising for 1000 teachers. Who are these people? Does Dave care less that he might be sending some unsuspecting innocents into some horror story because they mistakenly believed that some basic form of vetting has gone on by the reputable eslcafe.
It would be interesting to hear from anyone who has had any dealings from some of these so called "schools".
It seems to me that Dave takes the same argument as arms dealers who will sell to anyone. As he's not actually getting his hands dirty himself he can simply post a disclaimer at the bottom of the page and say it's not his reponsibility.
It stinks.
Thank god for people like Sandy who dare to name and shame these people.
